For this new construction commercial roofing project Flagship installed a fully-adhered EPDM single-ply roofing system with architectural metal panels.

Project Description
The Egan Activity Center in Milton, Mass. is one of the Boys Club of America’s showcase facilities. This new construction project’s commercial roofing system was installed by Flagship and will provide a much needed useful space for many events. As with many larger commercial roofing installations, fully-adhered EDPM single-ply roofing was used.

EDPM is now in use in well over half a million commercial roofing systems across the U.S., and it has become the material of choice for a number of reasons:

• Available in both dark and light colorings to suit the climate and “style” required;
• Large areas covered with relatively few seams required;
• No need to use mechanical bonding or ballast, making it ideal for difficult roofing areas;
• A high resistance to the elements, including hail, rain and UV damage;
• An outstanding thermal cycling resistance;
• Available with a long warranty;
• Low maintenance

In the case of the Egan Activity Center, the darker coloring was selected, and since this new construction, little work had to be done to prepare the underlying roofing structure before installation.

After the EPDM singe-ply membrane commercial roofing system was installed, Flagship were added architectural metal panels to give a stylish modern feel to the Egan Activity Center.
